Forrest has had a great week & weekend, he continues to make progress with his hands and now with his legs as well! Below is a photo & video of him working hard helping with squats during a physical therapy session with Del.
It's the final countdown. Here is one of my favorite motivational songs (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AyggY_R3jU8). I don't know if you are allowed to play music during PT, but if you can, this song is a gauranteed success.
I also do PT in the mornings. In the Army though, PT stands for physical training. You look like a champion Forrest! Keep up the good work, and always keep going.

Amazing! Your drive and motivation are an inspiration to all of us. I couldn't help but smile and cheer you on as I watched this video. Keep pushing Forrest, you can do it! Love and hugs from the Rafferty Family xoxo
I loved this video!!! I'm smiling and crying, Forrest!
You are working so darn hard. You inspire me. Del inspires me. Your sweet mama inspires me. Your brother, your incredible dad, your grandmother, your aunts, Tom Switzer.... all of them inspire me.
My heart is full of gratitude for the example that your journey has been for me and in the life of our family.
I pray for you often, Forrest. I lift up that long, tall body of yours in my mind and I ask God to continue to heal you, to bless you, to restore your voice, your movement, your life.
Charlotte is home for a few days before she leaves for her summer job. We talked about what movies that we wanted to watch as a family. Chariots of Fire came up. Do you remember this movie? Have you seen it?
Oh, Forrest, you remind me an athlete running the race of a lifetime. And you have so many loving coaches and spectators cheering you on. Please know that I am one of them, dear boy. One who prays for your strength, endurance and persistence; yours and that of your precious parents and brother.
We love you dearly, Shannon, et al.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
I just talked to your Grandmom Norma. She is just bubbling over with happiness after getting to be with all of you during her trip. It sounds like she had a wonderful time.
I'm so thrilled & impressed with the progress that you continue to make as the weeks go by. I know it means so much to all of you to be at home again, and it's wonderful that you just keep pushing on every day to improve. KEEP ON FIGHTING!!
So glad things are going well.......I know with all the love that surrounds you, that you will overcome all these challenges...........My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family daily! Patti Brantley
