We want to introduce everyone to our newest Team 44 member, Nick S. Nick is very athletic, full of positive energy and is proving to be an equal chess opponent for the tough-to-beat Forrest. He helps out in the evenings and provides overnight coverage with Forrest, but most importantly, Forrest and Nick have become fast friends. Below is a photo and video link to a couple of things they did this week.
Thank you for joining us, Nick! - Forrest and Team

Hey Forrest,
ReplyDeleteYour team and fan base are ever expanding. I'm so happy that you have a new friend that can be there to hang out and be part of your team. It looks like all of the "boys" are having quite a good time.
I sure do miss you. I have been looking back at some of you last posts and see you sitting by the fire with some of your other friends. I thought about you throughout the winter and how it reminded me of your journey in a way.
There were times when the weather warmed and it looked like winter was over and then the cold stuff (or in your case challenges) returned and it seemed as if the warm was never going to surface again. But the promise of Spring could not be held back, just as the promise of your triumph over all the setbacks can not be stopped. One season has to give way to another, even if it takes awhile, this is God's design. He has an awesome plan for your life. It is still unfolding and I can't wait to see the fulfillment of what that plan is. Whatever it is, it is mighty and it's tailor made for a champion like you.
I hope you are doing well with your final month or so of school. I know you will be glad to finally be finished. Can't wait to hear about it. I'm almost done with this semester too so I should be able to stop by before long.
I pray you and your family have a blessed Easter.
Blessings and love,
Nurse Karen
Forrest, Rae, Austin & Kent - thanks for making Nick part of your team. He is a lucky young man to have a friend like Forrest who enjoys music, sports, movies & joking around. Shelly and I are always eager to hear stories of lacrosse, basketball and, of course, Fight Club.

Hi Forrest..Congratulations and good luck..with such a good chess player you are sure to be challenged...but knowing you...you always step up to challenges!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad the weather has finally turned to spring so you all can get out of the house...good to see Toliver with you too!!! Happy Spring, Sharon
I love the pictures and video. I really like the one with the partner stretch- why can’t I get you to go that far forward with me? This friendship was destiny. Two young men with similar interests, spirit, and a love for life and laughter. I knew when I introduced them that this was gonna be one for the books that will last a lifetime. I love how they complement each other. I have known Nick since he was in first grade, always full of life and mischief. The stories Nick has told about his time with Forrest have been priceless! And no Forrest, you and Nick better not be planning on a grand escape from the house one night. It’s like a two man fraternity (three with Austin- I hear stories…). You now know what having a roommate is like. Forrest, keep an eye out on Nick- he has been known to make his parents want to pull their hair out. I know you have NEVER driven you parent’s nuts! Or maybe not… Again a match made in heaven. I am going to have a whole new set of stretches to torture you both with, won’t that be fun. I will see you on Friday. Yay for PT time.
ReplyDeleteHi Forrest, It looks like you are doing great. I'm glad to see you got another member for your team, plus a good friend to boot! Can't beat that!! Keep working towards the goal!!
