  3. What wonderful teachers you have, and what a perfect way to practice!

I check your blog every day Forrest, and it is one of the many things that makes me smile; Your blog, letters from home, skyping with my loved ones from home, emails from family and friends, jokes with my soldiers, a gorgeous sunset. I try to notice all the wonderful things here, otherwise deployment would be ten times harder. Your progress is incredible, and your smiles only add to the beauty of my days over here. Thank you for your strength, and your will to always, always, always keep trying.

  4. I LOVE seeing these photos of Forrest with his friends! He always looks so bright and happy to be with his peers. What incredible, special and oh so dear young people to devote their time to their buddy. Dear ones, your friendship will be rewarded ten-fold. Hooray for you and your loving devotion to a friend.

Juxtaposed with those smiling photos is the look of concentration on the photo that Tami posted on the 7th. What extraordinary effort. I can almost see the firing synapses as Forrest wills his hands and muscles to move as his mind compels them.

Once again, Forrest, his friends, his family and his indefatigable team of caregivers give us witness to the power of love and devotion and effort. I woke up feeling like a slug today, then I read this blog and see these photos and decide that laundry mountain is a piece of cake.

Thanks for the kick in the butt, Forrest!

So much love to all of you. I wish I could adequately express what your example brings to my life.

In addition to your hard work and sweat Forrest, you have an awesome team partner in God! He is working right beside you cheering you on every moment.

"Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 40:28-31
