Picture of the Day 9/26/11

Forrest listened intently this morning as I told him again about the Super H 5K and how he inspired so many people to get involved. Our family was deeply touched by the outpouring of support, donations, and participants. No matter what our situation, it is somehow empowering to know that we can always lend a hand to someone else in need. All the week-end's positive energy and love has enveloped and re-energized Forrest. Here Forrest is taking his own first steps in the"LightGate". Hopefully next year, he'll be able to participate in the Super H Race himself!

With Love and Gratitude for our amazing group of friends, family and community,
Rae

  1. Oh, Forrest... Look at how tall and strong you are standing. I see a peek of your devoted PT team behind and next to you; I know they are so, so proud of you, too. I see your wonderful Mum, your tireless cheerleader. What strikes me most about this picture is seeing your handsome face, with a look of determination that you keep bringing, day after day. Your head is held hIgh... You are on your way. Missing you here at home base, and loving you, always. xx

  4. I just love seeing your handsome son tower over you once again!

Rae, Rebekah is so right...you are such a tireless cheerleader of your incredible son. You inspire all mothers and we both pray for and hold dear this sacred parenting role you so diligently fulfill.

May God continue to restore Forrest to full healing and may we all continue to share in the hard work of this miracle.

    Love to you,
    Shannon

  8. So great to see you vertical Forrest!...have a feeling we will be seeing lots of this in the time ahead! It meant so much to us to be involved in the race for you on Sunday - we enjoyed meeting Maylin and her friend and it was so nice to see your mom, Austin, Sundance, and Mita after so much time - Mita is QUITE the runner!! Both George and I felt like it surely couldn't be that long ago that our families shared so many fun times together. We hope to head into town to see you soon and are looking forward to more shared family time together in the future. You are truly an inspiration for all who know you Forrest. Keep up the great work. We are praying, hoping, and cheering for YOU on your new path to recovery. Much love from the Shermans.
