A Note on Cards and Letters

Thanks again for all of the great mail you have sent so far. Your love and support plays a very important part in Forrest's recovery and we are taking all the cards and letters with us to Atlanta. We look forward to reading them to Forrest over and over again.

You'll notice we have partially updated the address in the sidebar to reflect our upcoming move, but until we have an official room number, we can't guarantee that mail will reach us. In order to ensure we receive everything you send, please wait to mail anything new until we are able to post the new, complete address. Thank you!

It is great to see you enjoying time with your friends! We know how important close friendships have always been to you. Remember that we will all be here for you as you face the tough obstacles ahead. We will continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers as you get ready to head to the next phase of your healing process.
Hang in there we will be diving together soon!

  2. Dear Allen family,
Tom and I have not stopped thinking of Forrest and your family since we heard about the accident. We spent 5 weeks at UVA with our son last spring, so have so many memories of those halls, elevators, and the Mellow Mushroom. :) I still keep in touch with the doctors and nurses who were all so amazing in every way. You have been in the best hands and I look forward to hearing about Forrest's progress in Atlanta. You will remain in our thoughts and prayers!
Also, tell Forrest---- James has a gtube now. When they get them out, it looks like a bullet scar. Makes for all sorts of creative stories!!

  3. Kent, Rae, and Austin -

I attempted to send an email to Kent's address on Monday, but in case it didn't make it, I am leaving a post here as well. As a native of Atlanta who lives only a mile from the Shepherd Center (and who drives by it every day), I would love to be a resource for your family once you arrive! Atlanta is a busy city, and I would love to assist you in any way possible. So please contact me for anything you need! I know it is a Herculean task to relocate Team Forrest, but he is heading to a fabulous facility!!!
    Sincerely,
    Mary Kay McCutchen
