Post Poned... But still waiting

We were expecting to head to Pre-Op around 6 o'clock this morning.  We have not gotten any official word yet but we heard from another patient's mother, who just saw Dr Kumar, that Forrest's surgery has been bumped back due to an emergency appendectomy. So far we have not heard that it has been rescheduled.   It's good not to be the The most urgent emergency, but it is hard to wait.  So we've been reading your messages, playing video messages, and reciting this prayer that Pastor Ann from Emmanuel Church sent to Forrest for this morning. It turns out to be just perfect:

Forest has been working on "doing nothing gallantly" all morning!  Thank you all for your continued prayers encouragement and support.  We will let you know when we know something more!

Trying to sit quietly, but it is not my strength!

  2. What a powerful prayer that is so perfect for Forrest and your family right now. When Kim Tapper posted a request on Facebook last night for people to post pictures of their pets to cheer up Forrest, I decided to ask my friends to do the same. It has been truly amazing to see the outpouring of love and support! So far since I posted 13 hours ago, 45 people have posted pictures of their furry friends (and one not so furry) 56 dogs, 5 cats, a gecko, pig, raccoon, horse and rabbit! I have been tagging Forrest on each picture. I hope they bring a smile to his face and help him to pass the time as he waits patiently! God bless you all! We are with you in prayer! Denise Gilliland

  4. Our whole congregation at the Bollivar church of Christ in Bolivar, Mo is praying for you, Forrest and Team 44. I'm so sorry that you surgery has been held up today because of the emergency surgery that came in. Praying that they are able to fit you in today, and that all will go very well. Hang in there just like you always have in the past 4 1/2, actually going on the past 5 years now. Our prayers are with you.

    Love and Prayers,

    Joyce and Wilbur Ellis
