Update: 11:20pm on 1/15

Forrest is out of surgery. It went well - he handled the anesthesia well and they were able to remove a clot at the injury site. They did not see any other major hemorrhaging, which is good news. He will remain in a medically induced coma for at least the next 72 hours to allow his body to heal. The doctors have reminded us that he is not ready for visitors, but we will continue to share your well wishes.

Once again we appreciate your thoughts and prayers -- we will post another update tomorrow.

  5. Rae and Kent: We are sending more positive thoughts and love. Gnocchi and Tenzin want Forrest to know that Gnocchi enjoyed a great recovery in October in the very same cozy ICU suite with the wonderful Neurosurgery team, and their fearless leader, John Jane Jr. We know the way and all the good food places nearby when you are ready for visitors. Lots of love, Ilene, Daniel, Tenzin & Gnocchi Tognini.

  6. Rae, Kent, Austin, and the rest of the Family,

Jay and I are thinking of Forrest and all of you and sending our support and love. We are here to help in any way and feel so helpless being so far away. Thank goodness Forrest is young, strong, and healthy and we know his body is already healing on it's way back to perfect health. We're relieved that the surgery went well and look forward to the next progress report. We love you all!
