Update: 1/16 at 1:15pm

Forrest is resting well today after his surgery. He is still in the medically induced coma, but his vitals look good and his chest x-ray was clear today. The Trauma-ICU staff continues to monitor him closely.

He is surrounding by a rotating wave of family members and we are mounting cards and well wishes on the walls of his room. We would love to have every inch of the walls covered so he knows how many people are thinking about him. While ICU does not allow any flowers or plants, cards can be sent to the address in the first post.

Thanks again for all the love and encouragement. At this time, the best thing to do is keep the thoughts and prayers coming and keep sharing your well wishes on the blog. It's been great to read all your kind words in the comments.

  2. Forrest- I still see you weaving in and out in that Lacrosse game. Rae and Kent and I hooting and hollering from the stands. You are a wonderful athlete and a warrior in your heart. You still have a lot of weaving in and out to accomplish. and as I recall there was a lot of others in the stands hollering for you too....so, we are quietly hollering for you now. keeping you on track for the the other end of the field. WE are letting you rest for a little bit. We know you are feeling the vibes and finding your equilibrium before you start for the goal. but you will be ready and you will be strong. and soon you will hear our voices rise in unison and as we watch you score. go Forrest. Go Go Go.....love Tricia and Lissa

  3. That was beautiful Aunt Tricia. Love the imagery. He's a fighter and he and I have many more dives on the Great Barrier Reef to do yet.

  9. Just sent a comment to Rae's dolphin e-m--because we're having having trouble posting comments on the blog. If you get this we said something like "If Forrest can punch a general in the nose at six years old, there will be no question of recovering from this accident
Love, hope, thoughts and prayers are coming your way from the Wofford family. We go on every am first thing to check on Forrest's condition. We love the slideshow--what great photos.Stay strong.
